in 2023-2024

FDJM was founded in 2015 by young adults in Bamako. All members bring expertise in economics, law and crafts and have good connections to local businesses and stakeholders.

With the financial support of STIFTUNG NORD-SÜD-BRÜCKEN, BENKADI started its first project for the education of young adults in Bamako/Mali in 2017. To date, learning opportunities have been provided to approximately 200 participants in terms of three months in the following fields:

  • Soap production
  • Poultry farming
  • Fruit and vegetable juices
  • Solar technology
  • Agriculture

After doubling the amount of investment from € 25.000 to € 50.000, it has become possible in this year 2023 to buy 4 h of land in order to offer training in the agricultural sector even more professionally and with own land. The site is located about 70 km from Bamako near the village of Mana, in the commune of Ouelessebougou, Bougouni region, on the national road 7. Meanwhile, there are a water tower, a guard house, a storage room, two toilets and two tanks for training in fish farming.

The location of the land makes it possible to include participants from the surrounding area in the program and to maintain contacts with the neighborhood.
